Jordan Alvarez

Financial Advisor

Jordan Alvarez has been in the financial service business since 2016 when he started as an agent with New York Life Insurance Company. Prior to becoming an agent, Jordan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Grand Valley State University.

Jordan and his business partner, Matthew Peisert, created Connected Financial Strategies in 2021.

Jordan is a qualifying member (’19, ’20, ’21) of the Million Dollar Round Table* (MDRT) which represents the top 5% of the world’s leading life insurance and financial services professionals from more than 500 companies and 70 nations.

Jordan has worked hard to develop a reputation for outstanding client service and has built a practice working with families and business owners all throughout West Michigan.

Jordan lives in Grand Rapids with his wife Laura. After office hours, Jordan can be found coaching the Jenison High School wrestling team or volunteering with the youth group at Daybreak Church. In addition to being a passionate coach and mentor, he is also an avid outdoorsman, spending most of his free time in the woods hunting and fishing.

Matt Peisert

Financial Professional

Matt has been in the financial services business since 2018 and with Jordan, created Connected Financial Strategies in 2021.  He is a qualifying member (2021) of The Million Dollar Round Table* (MDRT), which represents the top 5% of the financial services industry worldwide, and its members must adhere to a strict code of ethics.

Matt graduated from Grand Valley State University and went on to a career as a District Manager for retail stores for 5 years, as well as running guided fly-fishing trips prior to starting his Financial Services Practice.

Matt and his wife Megan have two sons, Dawson and Weston, and currently reside in Haslett, MI. Matt and Megan still are members and attend Perry Church of the Nazarene where they met in 2003. Matt is an Ambassador for the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce, as well as the chair of the Shiawassee Connections Group. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys traveling with the family, hunting, fishing, and going to the family cabin in Kalkaska.

Logan Fields

Financial Advisor

Logan Fields has been working in the financial services and insurance industries for the past five years. He started as a financial advisor with Connected Financial Strategies in October 2023. Prior to working at New York Life Insurance Company, Logan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance at Grand Valley State University.

Logan’s main focus as an advisor is to simplify the complex financial industry for clients, encouraging questions to tailor plans to their unique needs at any life stage.

Logan lives in Byron Center with his wife, Jessica, and their two dogs. They are expecting their first child in July 2024. Outside of work, Logan enjoys checking out new restaurants, making craft cocktails, and spending time with his friends and family. Most important to Logan is his relationship with Jesus Christ, as this guides how he interacts with his clients and how he lives his life.

Rachel Roerig

Client Services Professional

Rachel Roerig joined Connected Financial Strategies in December 2023 as the new client services professional. Rachel grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but currently calls Jacksonville, Florida home. Rachel graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Dordt University in 2019. Rachel serves as your dedicated point of contact, and works hard to keep CFS organized.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys engaging in outdoor activities. You can often find her walking along the beach, jogging with her run club, or biking around town with her friends. Rachel values spending quality time with her family, especially over home cooked meals, and loves being an aunt.
